We get it pretty hot, here, 100 miles north of Sydney, so I have never considered Delpiniums as I believe they need frost or snow in winter to bloom well. It simply doesn't get cold enough, here, in winter. About 5C is the lowest, we've had. What are your winters like?
The light blue version is taking its blooming turn. The dark blues bloom first.
