Honeybee on Sedum

This yellow-flowering sedum was popular with honeybees over the weekend. I use sedum as a "living mulch," in dry-ish areas of my landscape.

Busy Bee on the Butterfly Bush

We have two of these shrubs. One I purchased and the other one? I clipped a branch from the original plant and stuck it in the ground...and it grew! True story. I think that's also a clue why this shrub is considered an invasive species in some areas of the country.

Bees Love Lavender

Plenty of plants in my yard are there really just for the pollinators. I have several lavender plants just for that reason. I've tried cutting the flowers and bringing them inside to enjoy, but they're just too strong-smelling for me.
