I Said I Was on a Petunia Strike

For three years, I've refused to plant petunias, and geraniums, because of bud worm infestations. So...what is this showing up in a potted container? How DID it get there? Sneaky petunia.

Petunia Seedlings

I started petunias from seed a while back, and here are the seedlings. I'll re-pot them when they get a little bigger, and I hope they'll be close to blooming by the time they can go into baskets and containers outside - after May 10th.

First Petunia Seed Sprout

The first petunia sprout poked up overnight. I'm starting cascade trailing petunias from seed. I started them exactly a week ago. The seeds can take 7 to 21 days to sprout. Update: just a couple of hours later, there were 7 sprouts! Update 2: As of Monday, 22 sprouts!

Seed-Starting Trays Ready

Just about ready to get my hands dirty. The seed-starting trays are cleaned up and ready for soil. Petunias are first, since they are the slowest to start from seed.
