LOL We negelct our hens and chicks and they do very well.
The photros of your area look alot like our area. What garden zone are you in? We have some spots of Susanville in 7b, and zone 7a for the rest of town.
Some hens and chicks, Sempervivums, poking through the leaves. These came from a friend's yard a few years ago. They do best when totally neglected.

There are lots of Sempervivuns species, but I keep some so similar they can just be the same :-)
