Wisteria Seeds

The wisteria beans are ready to pick. They're not edible, as far as I know, but they're fascinating. The seed pods feel like the velvet/felt lining on a...poker table!

Do I see Christmas tree lights?

Those are white twinkle lights that we use all year for decoration.

Are the seeds ready to pick then they are big and green like in teh photo? Do I open the pod and let the seeds inside dry out before I put them in storage?

What do you do with the beans once you pick them?? I'm disappointed that you didn't follow through on WHY to pick them and what to do with them?

Forgot to say Wisteria are poisonous, so the beans, flowers, stems, leaves are all poison.

We pick them so they don't litter the pathway under the arbor, and so they don't eventually become "new' wisteria plants. It's a challenge to control the two that I have now.
