A windy afternoon fluffing up the red-stripey front of this Cooper's Hawk. The backyard fenceline is a good lookout post while waiting for little birds to come to the feeders.
He's a good looking bird! We have a Sharpshin hawk that comes around every few days or so. He usually perches on our fence or on our neighbor's swing set. It's funny, because the squirrel will keep right on eating :)
