The Directions Said: "Be Mean to this Plant"
I purchased this at Hilda Packard's spring plant sale. She said don't fertilize or water much, so I didn't. She was right. This hardy geranium is thriving on neglect.

The Geranium that Never Blooms
This is a "snowflake" scented geranium that has never bloomed for me. I've had it for three years, I think. My friend Faith picked it up at an herb nursery that was going out of business. I overwinter it indoors where it gets leggy and strange-looking, then it fills in nicely during its summer outside.Thursday, August 20, 2009

Happy Geranium
Most things in the garden are slowly dying, or getting ready to sleep for the winter. Our cooler weather has made the geraniums happy. They won't survive the winter unless I bring them inside. I may bring this one in, and I have another ancient one that never blooms that I'll shelter for the cold season.
