Rosemary

Looks at this proud-looking rosemary plant. My friend gave it to me for my birthday, along with the charming pot. I needed a new rosemary plant, too!

I would love to have a rosemary plant again. We tried to have one several years ago, but being from California, I didn't bring the plant inside for the winter and...it died. Back home, my parents have a massive rosemary bush: about 10 feet long and 4 feet high. When I was growing up, I remember using it as a fort.
Anyway, I really like to use rosemary in my chicken dishes and I also use it to make a flavored vinegar, which I use as a marinade (a little goes a long way) for chicken.

Hey Tim - I had a monstrous plant growing in my yard here in Boise. A plant that "came with the house." But during some of my do-it-yourself landscaping, I dug it out, thinking I would replace it with a more petitie specimen...and not a single one has survived. I'm going to baby this one by potting it and bringing it during the cold season. My husband likes a sprig in the oil when frying diced potatoes.
