Mystery Corn

Isn't it interesting to let some "weeds" grow just to see what they turn out to be? I think this is corn, although I don't see any fruit yet.

This is what grew at the top of the corn-looking volunteer plant in one of my garden beds. I'm glad I let this "weed" stay. It's interesting.
