Heat Wave

Saturday, it was around 100 degrees. This is our neighbor's cat Damon. He lolled around on our patio all day as the misters were going.

Farewell to Our Foster Kitty

"Stuart Snowman," the marshmallow fluff-ball that was abandoned in our neighborhood over the summer has gone to his new home! Congratulations boy! We enjoyed having him in our house and yard over the past several months. He is such a sweetheart lap kitty and I'm sure he is loving his new home. It's a little tough on the emotions when a foster cat leaves. We will miss him.

Temperatures into the 50s. Warm enough for the neighbor cat to spend the day lounging on our patio furniture.

Abandoned Kitty on His Way to a New Home

This little boy hanging around our yard for a month or so is on his way to a new home. I scooped him up the other day and took him in to the Cat Doctor to have him checked out. He turned out to be the sweetest little lover kitty. He got neutered, up to date on shots and got a bath, and Northwest Animal Companions is putting him on display at a Petsmart so he can go to a real home. We learned from renters on the block behind us that the previous renters had left his cat behind. He had been spending nights in the garage, getting in through a pet door, until the new renters nailed it shut. He must have been confused.

A Kitty That's Been Hanging Around A Lot

This white cat is hanging around a lot. We're not sure if she/he has a home and is using our place as a second home, or if this is truly a stray. It seems fairly tame, doesn't run too far when we appear, but won't let us touch.

Visiting Neighbor Cat

Meet Damon. He lives next door, but spends a large portion each day in our yard. We're used to him, and take care of him when his family is out of town.

Pumpkin Harvest

Well, this is our pathetic pumpkin harvest. I had so many seedlings, and so many squash bugs. We have a green "volunteer" pumpkin, one that was supposed to be a giant, and one Cinderella pumpkin. Say "hi" to Sweetie. She was very interested in the harvest.
