Powdery mildew overtook the zucchini plant recently. It still produced fruits just fine, it just looked a little funky.

Weekend Garden Harvest

A quick harvest over the weekend in the garden beds. These cherry tomatoes went into a fresh batch of salsa.

Produce is Ripening

The first one of the season. This zucchini was chopped up and sauteed with chicken in jerk seasoning, and then plopped in a salad of lettuce, corn, cucumbers and tomatoes.

The Frost Reveals a Giant

The frost killed my zucchini plant and revealed this giant. I had no idea it was there.

The Zucchini that Got Away

I like to eat fresh zucchini, just lightly sauteed with fresh grated parm. I pick them when they're small and tender, unless they hide under the big leaves like the big one here that got away. Some people grate it and freeze it for muffins and breads. I don't do that. I don't think I've ever cooked up muffins or bread with zucchini. Maybe you have a recipe to share?
